The head of a county child welfare agency in northwestern Pennsylvania has been charged with stealing more than $68,000 by allegedly misusing vehicles and credit cards when he held the same position in a neighboring county.
Erie County Children and Youth Services director Kevin Lundeen didn't immediately return a call for comment Wednesday.
The charges were filed Tuesday in Warren County, where Lundeen resigned from the same post in April to take the $71,000-a-year job in Erie County.
Warren County officials say Lundeen controlled the vehicle fleet for that county's agency and illegally used two vehicles for personal use, at a loss of $45,000. They also charge Lundeen used county-issued gasoline credit cards to rack up more than $23,000 in unauthorized purchases.
Erie County officials say Lundeen remains employed while they review the allegations.
