Child Sex Abuse Suspect Returns to Berks Co.

A Berks County teen says she was sexually abused by a family friend when she was a child. The suspect is now facing numerous charges.

A New Jersey man has been extradicted to Berks County to face charges he sexually abused a child at her Douglassville home between January 2002 and April 2007.

Seth Crittenden, 22, of Whig Lane Road in Glassboro, began abusing the victim when she was just 5-years-old, according to detectives from the Berks County District Attorney's Child Abuse unit.

Crittenden was a friend of the victim's family, said detectives. He was arrested by the Elk Township New Jersey Police Department on May 27th. Crittenden waived extradiction to Berks County and was transported to Berks County on Thursday.

He's charged with rape of a child, involuntary sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and indecent exposure.
