Officials in Montgomery County were on the lookout for a suspect that they say shot and killed a man as he wrapped Christmas gifts with his new girlfriend and her mother in the early hours of Christmas.
Robens Borno was shot and killed just before 2 a.m. Sunday as he wrapped gifts inside a home on the 1400 block of Beech Avenue in the Melrose Park section of Cheltenham Township.
Rayshon Carwheel, 24, allegedly burst into the home with another armed man and fired multiple shots into Borno's chest, according to Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman.
Borno was taken to Einstein Medical Center, where the 25-year-old died about a half-hour later.
Borno's girlfriend confronted Carwheel, who is the father of her child. The alleged shooter told his ex, "Oh, this is why you couldn't answer the phone," according to Ferman.
Carwheel remained on the loose Tuesday as authorities asked for the public's help in tracking him down. He is believed to be armed and dangerous and shouldn't be approached, officials said.
Anyone with information on this murder should call Cheltenham Township Police at 215-885-1600 or the anonymous tip line at 215-885-1600 ext. 777 or contact Montgomery County Detectives at 610-278-3368.
