Website Ranks Philly High School the Most Diverse in America, Tredyffrin/Easttown Named Best School District in America

A local high school as well as a local school district earned top honors in lists from a school ranking website.

Niche.com named Central High School, located in Philadelphia, the most diverse high school in America. The website analyzed the records of 23,861 public high schools nationwide when creating their list. According to the website, they factored in β€œethnic composition of the student body, the proportion of students that receive free or reduced lunches, as well as student and parent reviews,” when making their diversity ranking.

Several other local districts and schools earned high rankings in other lists on the website. The Tredyffrin-Easttown School District in Tredyffrin Township was named the best school district in the country. The website looked at 12,153 school districts nationwide and factored in academic strength, quality of teachers, school resources, student life and reviews from students as well as parents in their ranking.

The Charter School of Wilmington was also ranked number 3 on their list of best Charter High Schools in America. The website also ranked nine elementary schools in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in their top 10 list of best elementary schools.

Other local schools earned high rankings in best extracurricular activities, best food and best high schools to teach.
