Caught on Cam: Vandal Hurls Object Through Philly D.A.'s Office Window

A man was apparently displeased with the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office and hurled something through the window of its Center City building earlier this week, shattering the window.

Now, police are seeking the public's help to identify the vandal.

Philadelphia Police on Thursday released surveillance video of the incident, which happened about 2:20 a.m. Wednesday. The video shows a man in a hooded sweatshirt strolling by the D.A.'s office on South Penn Square, across the street from City Hall, winding up, then tossing an object through the window before walking away.

Police described the man as a man with a beard who wore a dark hooded sweatshirt with writing on the front, dark pants, dark shoes and carried a black backpack at the time of the incident.

Police are asking the public's help to track the man down. They asked that anyone who recognizes him or has information about the vandalism call Central Detectives at 215-686-3093 or -3094.

Tipsters will remain anonymous, police said.
