A family suffered another loss after their home was destroyed in a massive fire Thursday. Sadie, their beloved dog who was last seen running from the West Chester blaze, was hit by a car and later died.
Neighbors reported seeing the pup, a black Lab-Pointer mix, dashing away from the Wyntre Brook apartments on Phoenixville Pike as crews battled a massive fire that destroyed most of the building.
The family, desperate to bring their pet home, offered a $500 reward for Sadie's return. But, sadly, the dog was found Saturday after being hit by a car.
Sadie passed away from her injuries.
