Heart Attack May Have Caused Driver's Crash Into Store

The accident happened on 23rd and Oregon Avenue.

A 81-year old driver probably had a heart attack before his car rammed through a storefront in South Philadelphia on Friday morning, according to investigators.

The victim, who police haven't identified, died.

No one was in the store when the crash happened around 6:30 a.m.

The Pontiac went right through a huge glass window at the Rainbow Shops store on 23rd Street and Oregon Avenue.

The driver was rushed to Hospital of  the University of Pennsylvania where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
