A crash in South Philadelphia left an off-duty officer injured Wednesday morning.
No word yet on what caused the wreck at 16th and Federal streets shortly before 6:30 a.m. It appeared the unidentified officer's car slammed into a fire hydrant.
The male officer's injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening, said investigators.
