Boy Struck in Hit-and-Run in Camden

Camden County police are searching for a driver who they say struck a young boy in a parking lot and then fled the scene.

The unidentified driver pulled into a parking lot on the 200 block of Branch Village Drive in Camden, New Jersey around 4 p.m. Friday and struck a 7-year-old boy, police said. The driver then allegedly fled the scene and drove out of the lot toward 9th Street.

The boy was taken to Cooper University Hospital. Officials have not yet revealed his condition.

Police say the hit-and-run vehicle is a black or gray “SUV-type” vehicle with a Pennsylvania license plate and the letters “DLW.” If you have any information on the suspect’s whereabouts, please call the Camden County Police tip line at 856-757-7042.
