A cab driver is shot during a robbery in the University City section of Philadelphia.
Police were called to the scene just before 10:00 p.m. at 46th and Walnut Streets.
The cab driver was shot in the hand after struggling with a robber, according to investigators, who aren't sure yet if the man got away with anything.
"Unfortunately you have thugs like this, instead of going out there and doing the right thing, getting a job, trying to take a few dollars off this guy who is out here working many hours to try to make a few dollars to feed his family," said Lt. John Walker, Philadelphia Police.
The cab driver is hospitalized in stable condition.
Police are searching for that armed robber.
