Burglar Targets Local Beer Stores: Cops

Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole cigarettes, beer, money and lottery tickets from three different stores in Philadelphia and Bensalem.

Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole cigarettes, beer, money and lottery tickets from three different beer stores in Philadelphia and Bensalem.

On Thursday, Aug. 2, at 12:50 a.m., a man was captured on surveillance video smashing the front door glass of Krewstown Beverage on Krewstown Road in Northeast Philadelphia. Police say the suspect stole an undetermined amount of cigarettes. Police also say he was captured on surveillance video at a Wawa located in the same building moments before the burglary.

Police say the same suspect struck again last Monday around 5:50 a.m. The man was captured on surveillance video breaking into the Suds beer store on 2401 Lincoln Highway in Bensalem and stealing over $4500 worth of cigarettes and a six pack of Miller Lite.

Finally, on Wednesday at 4:35 a.m., police say the man was caught on surveillance video smashing the side door glass of the Pennypack Beer Distributor on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia with a brick. The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s with short blond or brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray shirt covering his face, gloves and white and black sneakers.
