Bullet Crashes Through Windshield, Hits Man in Face

A man was sitting in his car in a Philadelphia neighborhood Sunday morning when police say a bullet crashed through his windshield and hit him in the face.

Police said the 32-year-old victim was sitting in his car on Albert Street near Kensington Avenue, in Kensington, about 8:45 a.m. when the bullet came through the glass and struck the left side of his face. He was hospitalized at Temple University Hospital in critical condition later Sunday morning, and police said they did not make any arrests in the shooting.

Police were also investigating the shooting of a woman who appeared to be struck by a stray bullet in North Philadelphia late Saturday night. The 24-year-old woman was on Leithgow Street near Dauphin about 11 p.m. when she heard seven gunshots and realized she was hit twice in the leg, police said. She was treated for her injuries at Temple University Hospital, and police said they had no suspect or motive in the shooting.
