Local cops tried to alleviate the pain of two young boys whose toddler sister died suddenly at their Bucks County home last week.
Hannah Moyer, a 13-month-old, died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome after she was found unresponsive June 2 in Perkasie Borough. Later that day, Officer Joseph Murray took Hannah’s brothers to the police department for a tour.
Other borough officers showered 6-year-old Chase and 4-year-old Blake with attention.
“Most of the officers in the department have families, so this story hit us hard,” Officer Steven Hillias said.
Officer Joseph Murray, who was the first to arrive at the Moyer home, eventually gave Chase a ride to his Kindergarten class.
As the police sirens wailed, Chase arrived to his class in unique fashion.
The children’s mother, Tara Moyer, said the kindness has had a big effect on the boys.

"Now, Chase only listens when you call him Chief Chase,” she said. “He has always admired police officers.”
