Two brothers have been sentenced to life in prison for their role in a home invasion in which an eastern Pennsylvania widower was killed over $211,000 kept in his safe.
That money belonged to 62-year-old Douglas Herr, of Drumore Township, who received the money when his wife died in 2009.
Twenty-three-year-old Kyle Wunder and 25-year-old Cody Wunder had previously pleaded guilty and were sentenced Thursday by a Lancaster County judge.
A third man involved in the slaying, 27-year-old Steven Harmer was convicted of second-degree murder on Monday. Although he must still be sentenced formally, that crime carries a mandatory life prison sentence, too.
Harmer's attorney has said he plans to appeal.
