A tractor-trailer hauling broccoli overturned in Gloucester County, N.J. this morning.
County dispatchers confirmed that the veggie big rig crashed on Route 55 south about a mile north of exit 39 in Franklin Township around 8:30 p.m.
No one was hurt.
State Police said that it appeared the driver was changing lanes when the truck flipped.
Traffic was a mess thanks to the green goop and boxes left all over the highway. Some vehicle intermittently got by southbound but traffic moved slowly and it took most of the day to clean up, police said.
This wasn't the only instance of a big rig leaving a mess on an area roadway Monday. Earlier in the morning a tractor-trailer dumped its load of mail on Route 611 in Warrington.
