A mother and her son are in the hospital after a bizarre incident at a Delaware County home.
It happened Friday shortly before 5 p.m. on Baltimore Avenue in Prospect Park.
Investigators say a small boy ran to a neighbor’s house with a knife wound on his thigh while a small fire broke out in his home’s kitchen and bedroom. The boy’s mother also suffered abrasions though its unconfirmed if they were from the fire.
Investigators say the fire was minor and was placed under control after a short period of time.
Both the child and the woman are in the hospital where their conditions are unknown.
No word yet on who stabbed the boy or who started the fire.
