The body of a woman missing since her car plunged into the Schuylkill River last week was found Monday afternoon along Kelly Drive near Hunting Park Avenue in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia Police said.
A jogger saw the body floating in the river and contacted police around 3:45 Monday.
This is about one mile downriver from where witnesses saw the yet-to-identified woman drive her 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis into the river Thursday afternoon near Ferry Road and Kelly Drive.
The driver of that car vanished after being seen in the water. Her family members rushed to the scene where the body was found Monday in hopes to find out what happened to their loved one.
Sources close to the family identified the woman as 29-year-old Chrystal Wallace Ferrall -- a mother of two children.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday as officials have yet to ID the body, authorities said.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
