Tired of gray skies? Then Monday is your day. After a cloudy, and in a number of neighborhoods, foggy morning, we'll finally enjoy some sunshine in the afternoon. The fog lingered a bit longer at the shore as you can see by this view from Cape May.
No fog in this view from Center City, just slowly thinning clouds. However, there has been an important change from the weekend, and that's the wind.
With the passage of a cold front early Monday, this shift in the winds will finally bring us a break in the clouds.
The winds will shift again for Tuesday and Wednesday, becoming southwesterly. That'll treat us to a nice warm-up for the final days of February.
By the numbers, February has been warmer and wetter than normal.
We won't have to wait long for umbrellas to go back into action, as a rainy and windy storm system will potentially bring March in like a lion.
Clouds will be building in the region Wednesday and early Thursday.
Rain arrives by afternoon and continues through Thursday evening and most of Friday.
Rainfall totals for this two-day event, will likely top an inch in many neighborhoods.
Good news for the weekend though, late Friday evening the storm moves past us, clearing the way for a dry weekend... the first since January.
A chance of showers arrives on Tuesday of next week, but otherwise, next week is dry with slightly above normal temperatures.
