Police say a bicyclist was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Coastal Highway in Milford.
State police say 48-year-old Joseph Bergman was wearing a fluorescent yellow jacket when he was hit shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday. Police say the driver who hit him did not stop afterward. A second car swerved to avoid Bergman and hit the bicycle in the roadway.
Police also noted that Bergman had been drinking before the collision. He was flown to a hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
