Businessman Pleads No Contest to Molesting Boys at Delaware Ice Arena

A businessman charged with molesting boys at the ice arena he previously co-owned in Delaware faces up to nine years in prison after pleading no contest.

The News Journal reports 48-year-old Scott J. Bicking of Mantua, New Jersey, pleaded no contest Monday to two counts of second-degree unlawful sexual contact and one count of second-degree attempted unlawful sexual contact. He had been scheduled for trial in Wilmington on the charges.

Court records show Bicking was arrested in September 2013 after a 14-year-old boy volunteering at The Pond Ice Arena in Newark, Delaware, told his father about alleged inappropriate contact with Bicking. The father contacted police.

Police say other boys also have come forward about other similar alleged incidents involving Bicking.

Sentencing is set for Sept. 11.
