A man was arrested after he allegedly broke into his neighbor’s home and then barricaded himself inside his own house.
Police say a 24-year-old woman was inside the living room of her home on the 3400 block of Crystal Street around 2:50 a.m. Saturday when she heard gunshots. She then heard someone banging on the backdoor of her house. The woman told police she saw 45-year-old Agustin Burgos enter her kitchen with something in his hand. She screamed and then ran out of her home, investigators said.
The woman’s husband then went into their home and saw Burgos run out of the backdoor, according to officials. Burgos then allegedly ran inside his own house next door leading to a barricade situation. A SWAT team then breached the door and took Burgos into custody without further incident. Burgos was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
