Lockdown at Delaware Prison

Authorities issued a lockdown Wednesday at the James T Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna, Delaware. the prison houses about 2,500 prisoners -- including some of the states most violent. The standoff continued into Thursday morning ending with a corrections officer dead.

The James T. Vaughn prison in Smyrna, Delaware was put on lockdown as corrections workers were taken hostage around 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 1, 2017. The incident ended the next morning with one correction officer dead.
