Attorney for Abducted Girl's Family: A Man Was Also Involved

“There is good reason to believe that there was more than one individual and that there was a male involved,” said Kline.

Christina Regusters, 19, is the only person charged so far with the rape and kidnapping of a five year-old girl. Tom Kline, the child’s family attorney, told NBC10 however that there had to be a man involved as well.

“There is good reason to believe that there was more than one individual and that there was a male involved,” said Kline. “The information that was provided by the abducted little girl clearly should be and hopefully is leading the Philadelphia Police and the FBI to that second individual.”

According to Kline, the child provided statements to police saying she heard two different set of footsteps walking around the home where she was allegedly held captive. One of them was heavy and consistent with a man, according to Kline. Police also say the child was blindfolded and kept underneath a bed while she was held captive.

Along with Regusters, Philadelphia Police questioned three other people who lived in the Cobbs Creek home where the girl as allegedly abducted, including a teenage boy and an older man. Regusters was the only person arrested and charged however.

“The information that was provided by this brave, courageous, precious little girl was instrumental in leading to the arrest of the perpetrator of this horrible crime,” said Kline. “I have no doubt that she is both the victim and when the story is written, at the end of the day, the heroin of this story.”

Regusters’ attorney Fred Harrison, told NBC10 he believes his client was “overcharged” and also taking the fall for someone else.
