Philadelphia Police are investigating an ATM explosion in the Hunting Park section of the city.
Police responded to a report of a shooting at 6th and Luzerne streets around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, they found a damaged ATM with pieces that had flown 50 to 100 feet. Investigators then determined someone used some type of explosive device on the ATM, which was located next to a business.
NBC10 obtained surveillance video of the blast from a nearby laundromat. The video shows two people running before debris flies down onto the street. Police believe the person or people responsible for the bombing were trying to steal cash.
No money was taken and no one was injured during the incident. The safe that holds the money inside the ATM was not damaged, according to investigators.
