If you’re packing up and heading to the shore for Labor Day Weekend, transportation officials have some good news for you.
All Westbound lanes on the Atlantic City Expressway over Route 50 at Exit 17 are now open.
For more than 12 weeks, traffic was only able to get through two lanes on the expressway and drivers along Route 50 had to be redirected in both directions, after the expressway received significant damage after a dump truck struck the overpass shortly before Memorial Day weekend.
The South Jersey Transportation Authority says complete restoration of Route 50 is expected to be completed by mid-September.
