A 28-year-old Delaware man held an 18-year-old man at knifepoint and forced him to swap clothing Sunday morning, police say.
The teen told police that he was walking to a friend's apartment at the Oak Manor Apartment complex in Wilmington, Del., Sunday when he cut through a laundry room and saw Ronell Sims lying on the floor, according to New Castle County Police.
Sims, who was armed with a knife, stood up and approached the teen, investigators say.
Sims allegedly held the victim in the laundry room for an hour. After forcing the 18-year-old to exchange clothes, police say Sims forced the teen at knifepoint to lead him to the teen's residence.
Once the teen was inside his home, Sims allegedly took off with some of the victim's property, while still wearing the 18-year-old’s clothes.
Police arrested Sims a short time later as he walked in the area of East Delaware Avenue and Philadelphia Pike.
Sims was arrested on charges of burglary, kidnapping, offensive touching, possession of a deadly weapon and related charges, police say.
The victim wasn't injured, according to authorities.
