Components of World War I-era ammunition are being pumped onto some New Jersey beaches during a replenishment project.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers tells the Asbury Park Press that more than 90 boosters for howitzer projectiles have been found in Allenhurst and Loch Arbour on the central New Jersey shore.
The parts are the size of a C battery and are not bombs.
But officials still say people who find them should move away, alert officials _ and certainly not take them home.
The Corps hopes to have them removed by Memorial Day weekend.
It's not unheard of for munitions to be moved onto beaches during beach replenishment projects in New Jersey. In 2007, more than 1,000 pieces of unexploded ordnance were found in Surf City.
