2 Hurt After Small Plane Crashes Into Field & Catches Fire Remain Hospitalized

The two people hurt when their small plane crashed and burned in Pennsylvania earlier this week remained hospitalized Friday.

Two men were hurt when their small plane crashed and caught fire after slamming into a field on the 100 block of Amity Park Road in Amity Township, Berks County Wednesday afternoon.

The plane carried John Bertagna of Amity Township and Steven Bosshard of Manasquan, N.J. at the time it crashed. Both men were rushed to Reading Hospital.

Bertegna remained in fair condition while Steven Bosshurd was in good condition Friday, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Officials with the FAA are investigating the crash.
