Online retail giant Amazon is expanding its presence in New Jersey with the opening of two new fulfillment centers – facilities that mean at least 2,000 new jobs for the state.
Amazon plans to open a 600,000 square foot facility in Florence, Burlington County and an 800,000 square foot center in Carteret, Middlesex County – its second in that city.
The company will add another 2,000 employees to its rolls with the centers, 1,500 in Carteret and 500 in Florence, according to a news release.
