The 20-year-old East Londoner came to Philadelphia in hopes of getting a rounder rump so she could get more hip-hop modeling gigs, according to The Sun.
Aderotimi went to the Hampton Inn near the airport in Southwest Philly to get the cosmetic enhancement performed.
A person allegedly performed the botched procedure around noon Monday by injecting silicone into Aderotimi’s buttocks.
Aderotimi started to complain of chest pain around midnight and died around 1:30 a.m. after being taken to a Delaware County hospital, police say.
The preliminary cause of death is attributed to silicone injected into the woman's vascular system, ultimately stopping her heart, according to the Delaware County medical examiner, but it is "pending further studies." The autopsy is not yet complete.
This was the second time Aderotimi turned to these women for buttocks enhancement, sources say. Aderotimi and her friend -- who had her hips done this time around -- had gotten butt-enhancement procedures last November, sources say.
The friend paid $1,800 to get hip injections while the Aderotimi paid an unknown amount to have her buttocks enhanced, sources say.
They had found out about the procedure online, say sources.
Police issued a search warrant Tuesday night at the Bergen County, N.J., home of a woman they think set up the appointment online, Lt. Ray Evers said. The woman was questioned and is being considered a witness rather than a suspect.
The other person who performed the procedure remained on the loose.
The FDA got involved Tuesday afternoon to try and figure out the legality of the injections, sources say.
