Young Delco Mom Disappears From Camden Train Station

Police on both sides of the river are looking for Jenna Lord -- a 23-year old mother from Delaware County who went to a family barbecue in Collingswood, New Jersey on the 4th of July and never made it back home.

"This isn't like my Jen not to call me," said her grandmother, Cass Caruso.

"She tortures me to death, calling, you know, no matter where she's at, she calls. She calls every day."

The last time Jenna called anyone in her family was early Monday morning from a Camden train station, according to her aunt, Frances Caruso. Her own cell phone was dead so she borrowed a man's phone at the train station to call her mom around 7:20 a.m. Her mom was sleeping at the time and didn't get the call.

Later that day, as family members got more anxious, Jenna's mom noticed a missed call from an 856 area code. When the family called that number, a man named Eric answered, according to Caruso, and explained that he not only let Jenna use his phone, he'd tried to help her. It was a holiday and no one else was around to answer questions.

"He said Jenna looked scared. She told him she wasn't from around there, wasn't familiar with the area and that she needed to get home" said Caruso. Eric told Jenna how to catch the train to 8th and Market. His train arrived shortly before hers and according to Caruso, Eric told the family that when he was leaving, another man at the train station said he'd help Jenna.

"She never made it on the train," Caruso said. "She has a 3-year-old son and this is just not like her. She's not a wanderer. She doesn't like to be by herself."

Family members started a Help Find Jenna Lord! Facebook page to help get the word out. It had close to 700 members early Saturday and a string of emotional posts:

"My thoughts and prayers are with the family."

"Please God find Jenna and give their family strength through this horrifying time."

"Praying that God is looking over her and she will return safe soon."

Jenna is white, 5'1" tall with black hair and hazel eyes. She weighs about 120 pounds. She has a Mickey Mouse tattoo on her right arm.
