Woman Struck by NJ Transit Train

A woman is in the hospital after she was struck by an NJ Transit train in Absecon, New Jersey Sunday.

The 52-year-old woman was walking along the tracks under the platform at the Absecon Train Station shortly before 1 p.m. when she jumped in front of a train, according to police.

Absecon Police and medics responded to the scene. The woman was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center – City Campus. Officials have not yet revealed her condition.
