A woman is dead after a car accident in the West Oak Lane section of the city.
It happened Friday around 12:40 a.m. on Broad Street and Cheltenham Avenue. Police say a 53-year-old woman ran into the street and was struck by a vehicle that was unable to stop in time.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver stayed at the scene and investigators say the incident was not a hit and run.
No word yet on any charges or the identity of the victim.
