A woman is fighting for her life after she was stabbed in the Kensington section of the city.
Police say the 38-year-old woman was stabbed several times in the neck, stomach and chest on East Wishart Street around 2:45 a.m.
She was taken to Temple University Hospital where she underwent surgery. She is currently in critical condition.
Police say a 47-year-old woman was taken into custody in connection to the stabbing. Investigators have not yet revealed her identity or the specific charges against her.
