Police are searching for the man they say shot a woman while they were together in her bedroom Wednesday night.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. on the 4200 block of Darien Street in the Hunting Park section of the city.
Police say that witnesses in the home heard a gunshot and ran upstairs where they found the 21-year-old woman with a shot to the chest.
The male friend that was in the room with her took off down the street, according to authorities. Police say he is in his late teens or early 20s.
The victim was rushed to Temple Hospital where she is in critical condition.
No word on why the shooting occurred.
