Police Release Sketch of Port-a-Potty Attacker

Woman was sexually assaulted in a portable toilet at a public park

Police have released a composite sketch of the man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman inside a Pennsville, N.J. park port-a-potty last weekend.

The victim, 40, was at the Riverview Beach Park on Saturday evening. When she went to use the port-a-potty, a man forced his way in and hit her first on the head and then sexually assaulted her, police say.

"She had some contusions and some abrasions of the forehead. . .something like this is pretty bad. We're going to work very hard at this and try to make and arrest," Lt. Allen Cummings told NBC10's Ted Greenberg.

The attack happened between 5 and 5:30 p.m. in a portable toilet right next to the playground and the park's main parking lot.

"It's horrible. It's hard to believe that in such a good community like this, that something like that would happen," said Kassidy Shinogle who was visiting the park on Monday.

The suspect ran off after the attack. The woman was treated at a local hospital.

The man is described as Hispanic in his 30s who is 5-foot-6-inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored nylon jacket and dark-colored knit hat.
