Police are investigating a reported assault that occurred at a Center City SEPTA transportation hub Monday afternoon.
The assault took place around 1:20 p.m. in Jefferson Station, which is located at 11th and Market streets, authorities said.
Sources tell NBC10 the woman walked to a secluded area on the platform, near where the tracks enter the station, with the male suspect -- who then beat her.
Police said this was not a random attack. They are currently reviewing surveillance video that captured the suspect while he was inside the station.
The woman was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Her condition is unknown.
