Woman says pair argued just before killing

A South Philadelphia woman struck and killed a man with a car early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Morris and Ringgold Streets shortly before 2 a.m. Police found the 30-year-old woman standing beside the body of a 28-year-old man.

The woman told police that she and the victim had been involved in a verbal argument before the victim got out of the car, a black 2002 Acura.

The defendant said that she then jumped into the driver's seat and struck the deceased with the car.

The victim's name was not released due to pending family notification. Charges are pending against the woman.
