New Jersey State Police say a woman who was ejected from a moving boat has died after she was struck by the propeller.

And the man driving the 18-foot Beachcraft boat has been charged with boating under the influence.

Authorities say 39-year-old Iesha Thies, of Mays Landing, was ejected from the boat around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. She suffered "major injuries" and was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.

It's not clear what caused Thies to be ejected.

The boat's driver, Arthur Lesbirel III, is charged with boating under the influence, while another passenger, Robert Pruchnicki, is charged with allowing Lesbirel to operate the boat. It wasn't known if either man has retained an attorney.

The accident remains under investigation.
