Woman Ejected from Car in Deadly Roosevelt Boulevard Crash

A woman is dead after being thrown from her car after slamming it into a pole along the Roosevelt Boulevard early Sunday.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m. in the northbound inner lanes of the thoroughfare near Whitaker Avenue in the Lawncrest section of Philadelphia, police tell NBC10.

Investigators said the unidentified driver was ejected from her silver sedan in the violent impact. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved.

The crash remains under investigation.
