Woman Dead After Being Hit by SEPTA Bus

Philadelphia police say a 65-year-old woman went into cardiac arrest after she was hit by a SEPTA bus in Wynnefield Saturday.

Police say the Lower Merion woman was crossing 54th Street near City Avenue around 5:40 p.m. when she was hit by a Route 52 SEPTA bus.

The victim went into cardiac arrest while she was being treated at the scene. She died a few minutes later, according to investigators.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death, according to officials.
