Police say a woman is in critical condition after being struck by a motorcycle in Wilmington.
Police say the accident happened just before 1:30 p.m. Saturday. A 35-year-old woman was walking in a crosswalk across W. 4th Street at N. Rodney Street when she was hit by a motorcycle driver. Police say that before the motorcycle driver hit the woman he unlawfully passed another vehicle that had slowed to allow the woman to cross.
The motorcycle driver, 46-year-old Alfredo Cosme of Wilmington, was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries and is in stable condition.
Police say charges are pending.
