‘Wolf Pack Bums' Busted for Stealing Cell Phones

Four teens in Upper Darby were arrested Wednesday night after they stole a woman’s cell phone right out of her hands.

Four teens are being held at the Delaware County Juvenile Detention Center after being arrested for allegedly stealing a cell phone right out of the hands of a woman on 69th Street Wednesday night, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

And, Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says, this isn’t the first time.

Chitwood tells the Daily Times
that the group of teens, all 16-year-olds from Upper Darby, threatened a 26-year-old woman as she was walking on 69th Street before stealing her cell phone.

After hearing the call, officers were able to catch the four juveniles.

They were identified by a witness as well as the victim herself.

Chitwood says the suspects are also charged with two similar robberies in the area, both on May 19, reports the paper.

“These guys are bums, wolf pack bums,” Chitwood tells the Delco TImes. “They’re as mean and nasty as any adult criminal that goes through the system.”

According to authorities, a fifth suspect in Wednesday night’s robbery was not apprehended. For now, police recommend not using cell phones on the street.
