Wildwoods Turn to Tourists for Marketing Plan

Nine million people visit the wildwoods Five Mile Beach each year. Now, those tourists are being asked to share why they make the trip.

What do you love about the Wildwoods? That's what the island's 2012 "Share the Love" marketing campaign wants to know.

The campaign is asking the estimated nine million people who visit the island each year to tell others why they go and why first-time visitors should make their way there.

The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority launched the campaign at a kick-off event on Tuesday, according to the pressofatlanticcity.com.

The "Share the Love" contest can be entered online, by mail and by telephone. The winners will be selected at the end of the season. First prize is a 50-inch plasma HDTV.
