The driver of a tractor-trailer was struck and killed by another vehicle while standing on the side of the road on the New Jersey Turnpike in Westampton, Burlington County Monday night.
Deadly NJ Turnpike Crash
Police say the driver's big rig was disabled and he was outside, standing behind his vehicle near Exit 45 on the Turnpike. As he was standing, a car traveling on the turnpike crashed into him as well as the tractor-trailer, according to police.
The tractor-trailer driver was pronounced dead while the driver of the car was seriously injured.
