A woman and a young girl are recovering after they jumped out of a burning home in West Philadelphia overnight.
The fire started shortly after midnight Saturday at a two-story rowhome on 61st and Media streets. Officials say a 25-year-old woman and a 3-year-old girl jumped from the second floor of the house during the blaze. Firefighters were able to bring it under control at 12:21 a.m.
The 25-year-old woman suffered second-degree burns on over 25% of her body while the 3-year-old girl suffered second-degree burns on over 15% of her body. They are both being treated at Hahnemann Hospital.
Officials have not yet revealed the cause of the fire.
