West Oak Lane Bank Robber on the Run

Investigators have surveillance photos of a man who robbed a Citizens Bank, now they hope someone recognizes him.

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are asking for the public's help identifying and locating the man responsible for the robbery of the Citizens Bank Branch in West Oak Lane on Wednesday afternoon.

The man walked into the bank along the 6000 block of Stenton Avenue at 2:43 p.m. and handed a threatening note to a teller. After he was given an undisclosed amount of cash he fled the area on foot.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department or the FBI at 215-418-4000. There may be a reward for information leading to the suspect's capture.
