Wanted: Suspect in Main Line Crime

Police are on the hunt for a suspect in an attempted robbery on a Radnor Township street.  It’s the latest in a series of robberies in the normally quiet Delaware County community.

The victim, a restaurant manager, told investigators he was walking home early Tuesday morning when he saw four men sitting at the corner of West Lancaster Avenue and Conestoga Road.

According to the victim, one of the men came up to him and demanded money.  He refused and ran off.  The thief chased him for about half a block before he gave up, police said.

"A white male, described as 6'5', a very tall, lanky build, approached him and demanded money from the victim" said Andrew Block of Radnor Township police.  "At that point, the victim turned around and said no and he ran" added Block.

Tuesday’s robbery comes on the heels of several others in the area.  Businesses have been recent targets.  Police say the economy could be a factor.
