Waitress Uses Customer Credit Card To Buy Tires

A Dewey Beach, Del., waitress is accused of using a customer's credit card to buy tires.

Delaware State Police arrested 32-year-old Elizabeth F. Brickley for allegedly using the credit card information of a 51-year-old Bear, Del., man to purchase tires and an oil change totaling $469. The man and his wife ate at the Rusty Rudder, the restaurant where Brickley works on October 8.

The victims recalled that the waitress asked for their credit card information twice, which sparked their suspicion. After reviewing their bank statement and talking with authorities, they were able to name Brickley as the suspect.

Brickley was fired from her job on or around October 10 for unknown reasons.

Police arrested Brickley on Friday and charged her with identity theft, second-degree forgery, theft and other related charges.

She was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
