W. Philly Woman Injured Jumping Out of a Window During Fire

The woman jumped from a 2nd story window to escape the flames.

Firefighters are battling a West Philadelphia blaze that left a woman injured Wednesday morning.

Fire officials tell NBC10 that the blaze began just before 4: 30 a.m. on the 4600 block of Larchwood Avenue.

They say that a woman who lived in the row home was forced to jump out of the second story of the home to escape the flames.

She was injured in the jump and also suffered burns on her body, according to officials.

The victim was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Officials did not have details on her condition.

Firefighters said the fire was under control just before 5:30 a.m.
